The Halo 3 and Crysis trailers are unbelievable (I'm talking strictly about graphics here).

As always, it's bitter to see that Houdini is completely absent from the game development arena. An area where companies like Softimage and Autodesk are making big money.

That is what i was thinking. There is a link to the papers on the "about" link. Since I now nothing about its math, I cant compare them.

These are also some very interesting papers about precomputed radiance transfer, two of them using wavelets instead of spherical harmonics. Hope there will be some new stuff regarding PRT on this years siggraph.
