abvfx
watch the show every time its on. Dont care i have to stay up till 3am, i would have done that anyways . Really looking forward to the interviews and E3 stuff. For those who dont know BuZZ, is a technical guru you might say. Know alot of languages (computer languages that is ) and really has a talent for learning any software quickly and teaching it to others. Also for those looking for houdini tutorial content buZZ already has an array of Houdini Video tutorials, but look to the future, buzz will be doing a Houdini course (much more advanced than the last one) that will probably be around 80 hours long, judging by the Maya course and 3ds max one. So watch the show or download it tomorrow, im sure BuZZ will mention the new houdini content that will hopefully be developed and ready. Note these are not free as they take months to R&D and make, not to mention the watermarking process (which is very non-intrusive). I have heard a littl rumor one of the projects in the Houdini course will be blowing up a house. Sounds awesome.
sibarrick
Do they kept recorded versions of the show around afterwards in case you missed it?
abvfx
they do indeed. It normally take them a few days to get it up. But grab it when it does, because after another 2 shows you cant download them unless you are a member sponsor. So strike when the iron is hot. symek
I don't want to be rude.... sorry eveyone involved... but I expected better TV experience/competence from 3dbuzz guys! . The interviews are horrible, not mentioning whole 3dbuzz-TV-show. I mean, tutorials from them are great but these TV-Shows are pathetic! and interviews with SESI looks like a job of market competitor... Have you seen Alias TV-presentation after LOTR premier? Interviews with producer, animators, some compliments, pics from the movie etc etc. Nothing special just big event with Maya involved so it was obvious to record something on it. Why SESI - with headquater in the same city as CORE (right?) - didn't make similar movie..? Put the news on cgchannel or whatever. You got your 5 minutes on top, use it! Of course it seems that SESI is not interested at all in such maketing practise, and these interviews were just by accident but it would be much better not to praise it on the main site. 3dbuzz wanted to talk with us? So, they talked... it's their case. Sorry, if it sounds like stupid patronazing but I'm really upset after watching this crap. It would be really worth to do some video introduction into SESI world. "who we are, what we do, why we are different and so on". It's obvious that both speakers from SESI are great men, good talkers, right sources of information and all it comes from that is half-person on locked tripod, with overburned window behind and unilluminated face, and info everyone knows for a year.... SESI! Buy me a ticked to Toronto, pay hotel and I will make movie(s) for free, for me it's like a vacations entertaiment. Only drawback I see is my English... I'm affraid (... who knows, mayby it will be funny because of that )

I think that this interview is not a SESI's own marketing but just some cg group having fun with their stuff and putting some news for their userbase.(ie. beginners who don't know much about houdini). Nevermind, I don't want to make a "case" from it. Just a small frustration after ~130MB of downloading cheers, SYmek

But part of my respect to them is my truthfulness for them. If something is wrong I'm telling this is wrong... that's all. Of course it's more like a joke then 'real' interview and that's why I was supprised that SESI IS actually using it as marketing material. I wouldn't do it on their place. So we have unprofessional, pathetic material used by professional, powerfull company... you know, one spelling mistake (lots of this stuff in my posts ) in advertising flysheet costs more then whole campaign . There is a lack of such videos from SESI and there is the one, at last... crap. And of course I was too strick here. Just watched that curiosity and I couldn't resist, sorry... and at the end, they actually earn money on that (hope they do), don't taken from me or you but they do... and this is good. cheers, SYmek. AlexPaes
Hi everyone, not trying to flame nothing but... I agree SYmek, i'd think that the company behind the most awesome piece of 3d software i've ever seen wouldn't make publicity of an amateur video (no intention to offend anyone at 3dbuzz). I agree that if SESI want to make somekind of publicity then just shoot a decent video. I love going to 3dbuzz to see what people are up to and i think they make a great job for the community as well. But... My opinion, by comparing both websites it seems to me SESI is more proud of being mentioned on 3dbuzz than 3dbuzz about having an interview with SESI, just my imagination or should it be the other way around? Again, not intended to flame or anything, just my Humble Opinion. Cheers
abvfx
i understand your points of view, and i and hopefully any other members of 3d buzz wont take offense. The thing about TV BuZZ is all week these guys, BuZZ, Zak and 2 or 3 others work non-sto on making training material. As i speak they are workin on the R&D for the Houdini Fundamentals course (dont mistake fundamental for begginer, its caled fundamentals because its what they think everyone should know to be a good artist). They start early in the morning to late at night, while supporting a family and business. I doubt many of you will have seen their other work beside houdini, but they made the Maya fundamentals, around 80 hours long, Advanced Modelling 100+ hours its goes on and on. They are doing 3ds max which must be over the 50 hours mark, and now the Houdini course is almost ready to be recorded. What i am getting at is at the end of the week or mid week they do shos to update users, and talk about anything they like. Just like a radio show, its something that they relax on and kick back. I found the interview cool, understood more about what craig zeroni does other than that column in 3d world magazine . Also they didnt really plan o the interview, they pretty much walked right into SESI and asked for "him and him" . So to cut a long story short, dont expect buzz tv to become david letterman, because of the workload this is a time for them to relax with members. Maybe some of you might understand why the show is a little loose here and there. wow that went on far too long, anyone looking forward to Houdini content...... voice your opinions here. http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=132225
Ratman
From what i've seen of the other courses, they seem to be pretty good and complete, shame i had to spend the money i'd saved up for it to get my new system since the old one unexpectedly died :/
