AlexAlex Posted March 11, 2019 Share Posted March 11, 2019 I am rendering in Arnold 17.0.416, with Arnold, using an Arnold volume and a few Arnold area lights. For the time when the smoke is thick, I am getting theses weird artifacts in some places. I have attached a picture of what is happening. Anything helps, thanks! kleer001 Posted March 12, 2019 Share Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) My first impressions of things to look at (most will be wrong): Velocity vectors? Is motion blur on? Is there a vel volume? Shadows? Are they bitmapped steppings? (no way, lol) Try other types of lights? Is the smoke volume too coarse? Test a super coarse version for tests. (more testing than tests) Could there be more volume filtering? Would loose some definition. Bad filter type? Box, triangle, gauss? Something might stick, good luck.
