peliosis
I know there is google and many forums, I've already skimmed plenty of them, but I have a sort of ultimate belief to you odforce gurus! Can you recommend some good advanced book or dvd on general color correction for video and film or any compatible media. There are quite a few, I'm afraid of 100 pages "how to use this book" junk. I already have Jeremy Birn's "Lighting and rendering" which is great but would like something more specific.

symek
Forgot to say, I've read this also 28394[/snapback] hmm... I you still got your book? I've lost mine during some city-to-city movements. I could buy or rent for a while. Since Warsaw is so small cheers, Sy. PS As I know you won't find much more on color correction. Better to study art of colouring in painting books... digitallysane
I have Color correction for digital video (link) It's very nice, but it's limited to video work (the terminology, the approaches, everything is about video). The BEST book I know on color correction is Professional Photoshop (link) It's extremely informative and full of problem-solving ideas. Unfortunately, it's geared primarily towards print production, so the book is full of CMYK workflows, separation, dot gain and other stuff. I used to work in print years ago so I have no problem with that. Yet, the fundamentals and techniques presentad are very useful for any colorspace. peliosis
Thank you very much Dragos. I skimmed through amazon positions, but I don't quite believe their reviews, now with your recomendations I'm closer to the truth .
Mario Marengo
The book "High Dynamic Range Imaging" has a lot to say about tone mapping and colour spaces. I haven't gone cover to cover yet, but the sections I've read are nice and detailed. This is a technical book however: lots of formulas and stuff... but that's exactly what you need sometimes.
