Render View not working : failed to save output to file

Hey everyone,

Whenever I go to the render viewport in Houdini 17.0.352 I get the following message "Error : failed to save output to file "traceback (most recent call last):"

I joined here both the error message I get when I start Houdini and the Message I get when trying to render using mantra.

Trying to render a frame manually (save to jpeg) also leads to an error.

I tried reinstalling Houdini or even deleting preferences but none of this worked. I believe this is a bug linked to Python, but can't figure out what exactly.

hi, 

the problem could be because of non-latin character in your user account name

Hi! I have the same issue, but my user account consists only of latin characters. Any suggestions?

Nevermind.. Just figured out by myself..  I had another folder from previous version of houdini in my documents folder.. after deleting it, everything works perfectly...

Hi all - same problem here with that Traceback (most recent call last) error. Pretty sure it's not my user account name, and I only have the houdini18.5 folder in Documents, so what else might be wrong?
