it depends on the type of constraints you want to get

for Glue is not necessary

for others it likely is as most of the time you want those to have 0 rest length to begin with

for fractured geos or touching pieces you may be able to use RBD Convert Constraints to Face, but if your resulting constraints are not 0 length you may still want to scale them to 0
