kubabuk
You can also try PolywireSOP or WireframeSOP - this use primitives (spheres and tubes) so with more complex things works better. K
sibarrick
Or if you just want the lines use the ends sop and set it to unroll in U.
old school
Ends SOP Close U set to "Unroll" Done. The Ends SOP is a bit of the Primitive SOPs functionality pulled out so you can also use the Primitive SOP. Primitive SOP Face/Hull folder Close U set to "Unroll"
mattd
I needed something like this too a while ago, and the other options were not doing exactly what I wanted. I ened up using the wireframe to convert to tubes, then convert the tubes to nurbs. Then you can use the basis to extract any point you need along the length. it was slow and ugly, but it worked. I think it was a midpoint that I needed as well, and this method keeps the normals in a useful state MD

shikung444
Hi, I just needed to do this and found out how. Use the Fit SOP. It is named strangely, but works most excellently.
