Follyx
whats the difference starting a *.hip (i.e. downloading one frome here, dialog: "open with...") houview and/or another selection i.e. houdinifx? Is it internal manged that secretly always start the houdinifx? a downloaded hip start with hview. In the taskmanager its houdini.exe not houdinifx.exe Confusing... Or is there no difference at all if I have installed the whole package (btw. I dont know a way just to install hview.exe ;-)? malexander
If you're referring to "hview", it's just a script which starts the appropriate houdini app for a given file. "hview image.exr" will run mplay, "hview geo.bgeo" will run gplay, and "hview file.hip" will run houdini (likely the one you have a license for).
