TheUsualAlex
Hi, Just curious, does anyone happen to know if there is any place where I can find the spherical coordinate of the sun with regard to which country I am viewing from and at what year/month/day, etc? Much thanks! Alex

edward
To put this back on topic (sorta), has anyone rendered anything in mantra with these models? http://www.cs.utah.edu/vissim/papers/sunsky/ http://graphics.stanford.edu/~henrik/papers/nightsky/
Marc
No, but thanks for the links. Those are good to have in case I ever need to .
Andz
No, but thanks for the links. Those are good to have in case I ever need to . Just for curiosity. Some renderers that I know that use those same papers are Vray, Maxwell and (i think) Indigo. Mental Ray has one but I don't know its origin. FryRender has developed their own so it can also do night scenes with stars and moon.
mattd
I was going to mention the clock chop, but then I discovered it only exists in Touch. Was it ever part of an old houdini - v3 perhaps? Great chop though, gives sun position, moon phase, day of the week, week, etc. MD
