plazadelmar
I have a bunch of emitting particles creating random lines and when the lines/dots reach a certain point I would like to trigger alembic animation there. Where do I start?
plazadelmar
I'm testing MOPS with trigger fall-off and this could eventually work if I figure out how to use lines or moving points as a trigger, Any ideas?
Atom
Run over your end points and copy an animated Alembic model to each point. Populate the Frame field with an attribute value that contains the frame you wish to display.

plazadelmar
After some experiments I made it work with MOPS. My main problem was that Alembic didn't have a proper id number and was triggered in the wrong places. Giving them unique numbers solved the problem.
