mjfraser
Hey There! I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on how to achieve a look like the image below. I was thinking the most straightforward way would be to use a noise on a grid, displace along normals, and then use the column lines to create the surface detail. However, I am running into an issue where the underlying column lines are just going straight even after the deformation. I am trying to get something closer to the flowing lines in the reference image, where the lines accentuate the underlying geometry. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

mjfraser
Thank you so much, Hannes. That is so helpful. It's a very cool setup, using the for loop and points. I hadn't thought about doing it that way before!
