Marc
We've installed a LaTex interpreter to the wiki, so anyone wanting to add some formulae to either the wiki or the forum can now add it with little problem. Here's an example and a link for formatting tips: http://odforce.net/wiki/index.php/User_talk:Marc Have fun Marc
Mario Marengo
YAY! And to add it to a forum post, just wrap it up in img tags like this:
sibarrick
Any chance I can post some formulas and have someone explain what they mean in lay terms....
Daniel
Any chance I can post some formulas and have someone explain what they mean in lay terms.... Yes, I often wish there was a formula2C++ converter.. I know most of the formulas in research papers are probably very simple, but I can rarely read them.. maybe had I taken any math in school that would have actually helped me in my career. There are a couple people at work that I can run them past for a quick translation in a pinch
3__
yep stick to pseudocode. using medieval greek in a CG-software wiki is kinda wanky. -cpb
Marc
I'd agree except that wanky isn't a real word... er.. I mean . .. I think the use of formulae is fine and it's the accepted method of presenting this stuff, especially since it is extremely math reliant. But yes I do agree that it would be nice to have a pseudocode version too.
