lacer8
Hi there and thanks for your time. This must be the most basic of things, but I just can't figure out how to make it work. Basically I want to take any mesh, and relocate it so the mesh sits with the top centered at 0,0,0. I need to do it procedurally because the object who's pivot I need to change isn't always the same. I've attempted using a transform node and Pivot Translate options like $CEX, $BBX, $CEZ, but I think the $BBX syntax is incorrect and even if that worked, I'd still be stumped on how to reposition the mesh to 0,0,0 regardless of where it started from. Thanks again.
ryew
Have you already tried Match Size SOP with "Justify Y" set to Max? It sounds like what you are trying to do manually.
fencer
Check cookbook "Equivalencies and differences" https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/ref/expression_cookbook.html Try to use "-$YMAX" toP0_v01.hip
lacer8
Thanks Ryew and fencer! Ryew, yes, the match size is exactly what I needed! What a silly boy I am! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check the cookbook you linked, fencer. I'm sure there's lots of interesting stuff in there. It's been a while since I looked at it. In fact, it's been a while since I used Houdini at all! Thanks again!
