ykcosmo
I imported the animated object from maya as xxx$F4.obj. I want run the RBD with the object in houdini. How to get the velocity of the imported animated object (I have turned on the "use animated object"). It seems that if there is no velocity, the collision won't happen....even I animate the object in sop level with keyframe........
SpencerL
before bringing your geo into DOPs, place a Trail SOP down and switch it to "Compute Velocity" in order to get a velocity attribute onto your geo

stevenong
Hi ykcosmo, You have to turn on Use Point or Volume Velocity for Collision in the RBD Solver DOP when using an animated object. Cheers! steven
