2 x CPU = 1/2 simulation time ?

Will I cut the simulation time by half if I use a dual cpu set up?

I'm asking because dual cpu set ups seem to sacrifice a lot of stuff just to be able to squeeze the 2 cpus in the usual motherboard forms.

I can  test it for you if you want. You have to provide a minimal HIP file that I can open in Apprentice ,and I can give you the time it took to compute your sim.

If simulation is single thread you can decrease sim time only with higher CPU frequency, if it multithread yes you will have less time but not twice
