Dennis Sedov
Hi. This probably might be because I haven't read enough of help or probably missed it somewhere, but I have problem creating a material that would have surface and displacement properties. I have read, that I need to export displacement and then dimport it in surface shader, but I have hard time doing it with VOPs. If someone can give me somthing like a step-by-step guide - I'd REALLY appreciate it. I have found a shader that does this on this forum, but I cannot replicate it for some reason. All I need is some procedual texture connected in displacement shader and a lighting model in surface shader - that would be more then enough for me. Thanks in advance! symek
Hi there, Examine VOP network in that scene. Import Displacement Variable is pretty easy to do. There are two nodes you should look after: Parameter node in Displace VOP, and Import Displace Variable in Surface VOP. hope this helps, sy. import_dis_test.hipnc
Jason
Here we go: a quick setup importing from a displacment shader (using VOPs) displacementimport_in_vops.hip.gz
