ddingddong Posted January 28, 2008 Author Share Posted January 28, 2008 Thank you all. I updated it. benz07_small.mov I couple of days playing with metaball, there's trouble. As you can see when metaballs are close to each other, when they merge, conjunctions are jiggling. Also, I confirmed that in rendered images. Now I'm on the way to fix it. Any tips? old school Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 You can use metaball groups (Meta Group SOP) to prevent the different metaballs from fusing. See the attached file on how to set this up. I put comments on the appropriate SOP nodes. metagroups.hip Note: What looks like fusing in the viewport is not really fusing. Just an LOD issue. You can crank up the LOD in the viewport using the "d" display options > Viewport and increase the Level Of Detail slider. This will severely impact your viewport performance.
