edward
Change the numbers in the Pivot parameter? Are you trying to do this for modeling or animating?
cs00bren
for animation so that a object rotats around one if it's corners. cheers bren.
cs00bren
when you mean pivet paremeter do you mean in the obj level if so i don't understand as i'm trying to do it in the sops level to rotate a object around onother piece of geometry. i hope i made sence, bren
edward
I'm a bit lost. You want to animate a piece of geometry rotating about another piece? When I say "animate", I mean more or less move it through time when the playbar is playing. Since you say you're at the SOP level, then I would suggest putting down a Transform SOP and changing it's Pivot parameter. If you simply want to rotate a piece of geometry for modelling purposes, then it's sufficient to simply hit the apostophe (') key to detach the handle. Move the handle to your pivot location and then hit the ' key again. Now you can rotate your geometry. Usually, when I detach a handle, I also turn on snapping because I want to place the pivot at a specific point.
