illob32
Is there a way to make the camera wiggle like in After Effects for example? (Through some sort of expression) Thanks! Edited March 14, 2008 by illob32
symek
What is a wiggle in respect to a camera? Sorry, I don't know this feature in AFX for reference. You mean shaky camera, or you'd like to swing camera around some pivot? You could of course use some expressions in t[xyz] and/or r[xyz] channels like: rand($F*some_number)*0.01..., but I would encourage you to go CHOPs. Dozens of possibilities there. The simplest is to animate a camera, import its channles to Chops, add noise, export back. Actually creating convenient and capable camera rig is a kind of interesting and challenging topic - yet great for Houdini's environment. Few Nulls, parents, fetches, Chops... what a nice HDA it would be... As to swinging, rocking etc you could possibly parent camera to null, place camera under the null and animate it. cheers, sy. illob32
or something that looks like the camera was hand-held
abvfx
but adding noise to the channel might not seem realistic, would it? If camera fast then there would be alot of swaying when it stops or slows down and when the camera isnt moving fast ther is less jiggle. Maybe if you parent the camera to a null that is attached to spings so motion and speed really play a part it might seem more realistic.
