iamjaideep80
Hi....... Is Mantra Delayed Load same as Renderman Delayed Read Archive. Or is it a similar to ReadArchive in Renderman. Does it load object only when bounding box projects on to the screen or not??? Can LOD(Level Of Detail) be implemented using Delayed Load??? I didn't find any control for LOD in Delayed Load Node. But can ifd file be modified to implement LOD??? Are there any calls similar to Detail() and DetailRange() of Renderman??? In 9.x, yes - the Mantra Delayed Load acts like the Renderman Delayed ReadArchive. There is a Bounds tab on the SHOP which allow you to set bounds and such. Mantra has no built-in support for LOD... you're going to have to make your own LOD system within Houdini itself, I'm afraid.
