cspears2002
I'm trying to model a sign that will be tracked to a building in a still. The front of the sign will consist of a series of revolving panels that flip around to reveal an image on the panel's back. I've been successful with creating sign's general shape. However, I want to add more panels to the front. Any advice on how to do that? I tried to use polysplit to break up the geometry, but I think there must be an easier procedural way. chris_sign_v02.hipnc

See if using the Divide sop and turning on Bricker Polygons will do what you want. You then reduce the Size and change the Offsets to get more divisions. Obviously you'll need to use two Divide sops, one for each panel, since they are oriented on different axis.
michael
you'd be better off making one panel and then copying it to a grid then you can use the stamp() function to rotate them in fun ways... check out the help card for the copy node
