varomix
Hi First and I thing the easiest is, how do I rotate a shape in VOPS?, let's say I have a rounded hex and I wanna rotate that 90 degrees I'm making some custom shapes compositing ( by a simple add) several shapes. That lead to my next question, I've made a pattern, combining several hexagon shapes. (Rounded Hexes), and I've had to mess up with the S and T to deform that a little, so now, when I try to hook up the uvs, the pattern looks wrong ( obviously, till now ), so my question is, is there a way to just cook that, bake it, or something like that, so that I can use my uvs? This actually could be that the transform question could answer both. Thank you Edited June 22, 2009 by varomix

Guest Swann
Hi Varomix, 1) Try this OTL I made during my renderman voyages some time ago. It's VOP version of rotate2d renderman function. 2) Have to see your Hip to tell something about your problem with uv's. EDIT: In the file above you don't have any UV's but I supose this is different file than that in your first post. 2d_Rotate.otl Edited June 22, 2009 by SWANN
varomix
Hi Swann Thank you man, exactly what I want, 2d transforms, the thing is, I can't find how to use it could you help please? how do you hook that? thanks
Guest Swann
Attached Example. EDIT: Just remember that rotation in this OTL is in radians. If you want to use degrees plug DegreesToRadiansVOP between Rotation parameter and Rad slot. rotate_example.hipnc Edited June 22, 2009 by SWANN
varomix
Thank you Swann This is what I'm doing I think I'm done with the pattern now, I need to clean it up, make some parameters, and pack it in to an otl, also I need to work on the color/shading part of the metal. any comments/suggestions are welcome thank you
