Scaled Camera and sprites

Hey i have a little problem i thought you could help me figure out.

I have imported an animated mesh and a camera and i scaled down the mesh by 0.01 and then parented the camera to it so the camera is still correct relationship to the mesh. But my sprites i have done is now like 100 times smaller when i look and render trough my camera! I can put a vop sop and just scale up the spritescale attrib with 100 but i feel its a little hax and just one more of those things that can be forgotten at rendertime (and irritating when in persp cam and have huge sprites) . anyone knows a proper solution to this?
