kunal
Hi I have done a smoke simulation and i am using the density field for rendering but i seem to have too much of density and gas and it fills out the entire container by the end of the simulation. Is there a node to reduce the density in the existing simulation by just using the sim files and not having to re-calculate the entire thing again. It has taken me a long time to do the sim so it would be great if i could use the sim files i have and reduce the density. I have tried to connect the gas reduce micro-solver to my file node which is reading the sim files but it does not seem to be doing anything. thanks guys !! essencevfx
Bring it into sops with a dop field import node and then mess with your volumes with a volume ramp sop Edited July 27, 2009 by essencevfx
eetu
Maybe you don't even have to mess with the volume data at all, just adjust the density inside the shader. For example plug a Power Vop after the density parameter import inside the shader and play with the exponent ( =gamma ) eetu.
