I rendered out the point cloud using the sss scatter sop and then used a skin sss shader from material library by giving the path to the point cloud which is generated in the scatter sop but..... kensonuken Posted September 19, 2009 Author Share Posted September 19, 2009 oops it was working well i havent checked in gamma 2.2 ... it was faintly visible.... anyway thanks... but somewhere ive seen people generating point clouds at the sop level after the displacement has done... i believe there must be some otl.... varomix Posted September 19, 2009 Share Posted September 19, 2009 you could apply your displacement in SOPs with a VOPSOP, use that only for generating the point cloud, you might need to subdivide the geometry a little to get the detail.
