Andy Nicholas
Always nice to have a new solution, but... ...why would a company purchase this for integration into their pipeline? By doing so, they're going to be totally reliant on new updates being delivered promptly and working properly each time the 3D apps are updated. Houdini docs specify that the HDK requires a rebuild of any plugins for each new build (although not always strictly necessary). Jees, what with the frequent builds from SideFX, Asymmetic are gonna have their work cut out! The only way this could ever work is if the plugins link to a core library that deals with storing and interpreting the data, while the 3D app plugins themselves are open source. edward
Personally, I like how they're being honest and telling everyone up front that it's an *asymmetric* bridge.
