  1. Hello, I'm quite new to Houdini and I have a pretty simple question which I haven't been able to figure out. Suppose an open convex plane, how can I make a mask from border to center going from black to white? Attached example images. In my case, a height mask could do the trick too due to its convex shape, but ideally I prefer the border. Thank you
  2. Hi, I am working on a project which involves flatenning the 3d geometry. In my case it is a 3d bird which I then flatten wit point SOP and give it value 0 in Z. then I want to extrude it to give the flat geometry thickness. (see the attached images). In order to get my shader (stained glass) to work correctly I have to get rid of the inner points/edges which are causing problems while rendering.I would like to leave the outlines only. Since the model was flattened, there are some intersecting points and edges. I have tried fuse and facet SOP but with no luck. Any suggestions?
  3. Hey guys, Hello dear Odforce-Community Im a young CG-Artist, using Houdini for a year or so now (not as my main 3d package) I have a problem with the dynamic resizing of my fluid container. The container is "clipping" the fluid and dont resize correct. I cant explain why it is so, because the "Fire"-Fluid-Container resize correct only the blue "Ice"-Fluid-Container resize incorrect. But the settings in the two containers are nearly the same. The "Bounds" settings in the resize_container couldnt help me.....:/ Here the video: http://vimeo.com/112612980 around 0:04 sec you can see the clipping on the left side The .hip file of the szene is attached. clipping_container.fbx.hipnc
