  1. Hi I create a small python script in the filename entry to load my files. The python code returns the correct file name and path in the filename box. It is all good. But the problem is that I cant get it to load files automatically as the frame advances. I ahve to manually press "reload sequence" on every frame. Please bear in mind that the file names are generated at each frame by reading file names in certain folders so there is no pregenerated file scheme. I tried hou.iu.triggerUpdate but that did not do anything. I also tried the to eval the Reload sequence parm which is reload. That did not work either. I am hoping that someone here might have a better suggestion to get the reload going. Because as of now I cant render. Render out or Rop out does not work because it is not loading the files ;(

    Dust hits

    Normally all the effects I've made I've had geometry provided to me/modeled it myself. What I'm wondering now how to make it interact with the plate as well/render passes I can give my comper to deform the plate. For example a dust hit. Obviously, there is dirt involved, so I guess my question is how would I go about making this within Houdini? It's the kind of "dirt" you would have for a soccer field. I've applied a vopsop with a turbulent displacement for some jagged/rocky type looks and added some interior detail to my vornoi but I guess I'm wondering what the next step would be or possibly something I may be overlooking? I've also tried adding subtle fur aswell for some grass. It's a slow motion shot/dust hit action sequence so I want to really nail the overall look. Thanks guys!
  3. Hello everyone. I'm truing to replicate composting operation Over which I believe A+B(1-a). Instead I and up multiplying each layer by opposite alpha. It is work fine with constant colors, but it doesn't work with a texture. It turn texture (A) in opposite color. What wrong with that and what I missed? composite_test_01.hip
