Hi guys, I have a big problem with destroying an external object (a shield) that contain an animation. I've imported it as alembic. I've timeshifted it at the first frame, then fracturated the shield. Attatched this part to the first input of the point deform node, in the second the rest pose of the shield and in the third one the animated geo. The purpose of the rbd simulation is only to fracture a little part of the shield as the shield had been hit by an ax. To achieve that, I've painted where the ax would it and make this mask attribute equal to active attribute for the sim; then assemble it. Basically what happens is that when the pieces are falling down and even if they are flying, they move according to the shield animation. Maybe ther is another way to prefracture it and give it the same animation.. maybe with a vector and copy to point to it, but i don't konw .... I'm really stuck.. If anyone has any ideas that would be great! I've attached the file of what happened. Thank you in advance for the attention! Fracturing_Shield.hipnc scudo.abc

Hi guys, How do I hook up the glue constraints with RBD Material Fracture? I can't seem to find much on this. I have set my passive objects and they are passive as expected, and then as a workaround Ive used the Glue Adjacent pieces tool, but that doesn't seem to be working as well. Im sure it's basic stuff however finding it hard to get these glue constraints working with either the Material Fracture or regular Glue Adjacent pieces. test.hiplc

Hey, I spent a while prepping and adding to a model house for a destruction project but I'm having a lot of trouble gluing everything together. I can get the components of the house to glue together no problem (e.g. the windows, the walls, the bricks etc). But what I really want to learn is how to glue each of the fractured components to eachother. What I mean is that my house just falls apart, the bricks dont stay attached to the wall, the glass windows don't stay in their frames the roof shingles dont stay on the roof. I'm really hitting a wall here (no pun intended). Can anyone lend me a hand in figuring out how to approach this? The picture is my destruction model. Each component (roof, walls, etc) has its own constraint network but they arent glued to eachother so when I sim the pieces just pop off.
