Greetings, I have few microsolvers in my Flip Solver>Volume Velocity and I want to apply them to only 1 of my 2 emitters. Do I use a POP Wrangle after my MicroSolvers like (if viscosity > 500 then apply) or do i need to make some initial groups of my particles and apply the micro solvers to the favoured group ? To be more specific I use a GasMatchField and a GasStrainIntegrate with a GasStrainForce and I have 2 Volume Sources. If for example I go to my Popdrag in Groups I can see the option "stream_volumesource1" or "stream_volumesource2" but nothing like that in the microsolvers.
I have a simple DOPs setup where I'm trying to understand the processing sequence.. While watching the Geometry Spreadsheet, I move 1 frame at a time: Frame 1: Field A is created (Field B visualization is also created) Frame 2: Field B is created (Using Gas Match from Field A, then a Field VOP creates volume data) Frame 3: Field B is now properly visualized. My question is, is there a way to get Field B's visualization as soon as it gets created (at frame 2)? Currently, visualization for Field B only activates on frame 3. houdini_solvers_study.zip
Hey Everyone, I am trying a test with the mask field. I am trying to mask the Gas Blur solver by a volume from sops. The result should be a smooth look near the emission source and then outside the mask field you should see a bunch of disturbance. I took a look at the example attached with the Mask Field node and set my test up in similar way but for a reason I cannot find the mask field is not working. What am I missing? I get the feeling that the disturbance and gas blur are working against each other or the MaskField is being erased before it reaches the Gas Blur. File is attached and Image for those too lazy to open the network. I will be available to answer any questions. smoke_gasblur_mask_not_working.hip
