problems to render regions with mr (Original Message)

So i want to render from DOS command prompt, a specific region ,from a scene(with mr attributes:like caustic and Gi.....): So ,i type ,for a region:

Render -x 500 -y 500 -xl 0 -xr 249 -yl 250 -yh 499 -im pane_1 C:\temp\verre.mb & i get:

what do i have to do? so ,mr will be the rendering engine,not maya default!! please help!!

...er.... you may want to ask this question on a maya forum. Most people here are Houdini users so your chances of anyone knowing the answer are pretty slim :).

yeah - you're better off asking at highend3d...

however, something to get you started - you have to invoke the maya2mr plugin at render time....which isn't done by just using 'render -foo -bar -etc'

you have to use...um... ' - maya_mr_batch ' or something like that...it will be in the docs, I don't have anything installed at the moment so I can't get it right now. look in the docs for all the mental ray flags for the maya renderer.
