chang
Hi ! I wanted to project 2 UVs so that I can use it like on vop shader. (planar to UV, polar to UV2) And I failed to accomplish that. ..Not yet. Can someone guide me to a manual or something ? Thanx in advance. -- It's hot in Seoul, Korea
edward
Perhaps the Layer SOP to layer multiple uv's ?
anakin78z
not sure what the layer sop does, but one way to do it is to apply one set of uvs, use an attribute sop to rename uv to uv2, then apply the next set of uvs. you'll have 2 attributes you can access in vops. uv and uv2. cheers! Marc
That's what the layer SOP does
chang
Thank you guys ! It's a beautiful way to handle multiple uvs. 2 years of houdini tweaking, houdini makes me wow always.
edward
Some related operators for multiple uv layers when using the Layer SOP: - "VEX Layered Surface" SHOP for a ready made shader that uses multiple uv layers - "Shading Layer Parameter" VOP within Surface Shader VOPnets to roll your own uv layering shaders. edward
Speaking of Korea, I saw Volcano High last year which I thought was cool ( http://www.dvdoriginal.com/product/viewpro...od.asp?pid=2335 http://us.yesasia.com/jp/PrdDept.aspx/pid-...code-k/did-165/ ) It had Houdini in its closing credits. I assume it was some of the excellent particle effects in it.
chang
Right, almost all of 3D effects are done with houdini. Water drops on shower booth, flowing bamboo leaves, spatial deformation when fist blow, shattered glasses.. With that movie, houdini made great impression to Korean movie makers and graphic artists. And I have not a thing involved with that effect works.
