papicrunch
hi, I try to simulate a sort of scattering effect by calculating the distance of one point to others, then transfering those distances to the color of those points. In vopsop i have found a solution by using the distance vop but I need to stack in the same location, the same numbers of points who i want color. Is there an other solution by using only point for the calculation ? here an hip file where you can see all the scattering point stalked on the little sphere to simulate the same location. Thank you, Papi transferDistance.hip

Macha
Just for fun, here is a pointcloud version that works when you have more than one point. transferDistance (1).hip
Mzigaib
Cool example! I am just intrigued, why you use the "[$F]" in the end of the point cloud texture option?
Macha
I added it so the pointcloud gets updated when we animate. However, I noticed it animates even without adding [$F]. I'm sure it didn't use to be like that! Or...maybe...I'm...getting old, forgetful and confused. Cool example! I am just intrigued, why you use the "[$F]" in the end of the point cloud texture option? Mzigaib
Thanks for info, I asked because I never saw used like that.
