Ezz
Hi Aurélien. http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=415&Itemid=269 Here is a link with a list of system requirements for Houdini. If you want to be 100% sure that Houdini runs smooth, you should consider a quadro FX card. I have had a Quadro FX 3400 for 6 years and have used Maya and Houdini, XSI with no problems. http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&p=78597&sid=7a0a6fa70ad467fbdaf586c2cea0147d Here i a link from google with different discussions about gamingcard vs. pro-cards. Personally I would go for the Quadro FX 4000. It should be good bang for the bucks :-) Good luck Erik Edited December 7, 2010 by Ezz

malexander
I suspect you somehow need to designate the Quadro 5000 as the primary graphics card in the system. However, I don't know how to do that. You might try searching or posting on the Nvidia forums and see if someone there has a solution. chimp
It should be no problem at all. The viewport of a 3D application is using the primary display adapter only. I assume Houdini is simply ignoring your GTX cards. I am new to houdini so i can not assure you this, but as far as i know it is not using cuda or opencl atm.
