ikarus
fun, is it one big sim? or a low res + up res? or a low res + cvex?
efx
You really nicely implemented Julian's as you said. I would appreciated if you can tell us, each resolution of low res and up res. And I think you did not use any cvex or displacement, If you used it, I would like to know how you get nice rest. Cheers Ryo

Cheers Ryo Thanks!!! It's low rez (60), have autoresize, custom temperature then re-mapped as divergence and custom vorticles; I don't use cvex because i want to do the pyroclastic test without any post-process, i want all details from dop's. The next Monday i will post the scene file. Alejandro. Edited July 9, 2011 by Pazuzu
Kappy
Wow, that's inspiring! I'm going to experiment today with custom divergence fields - I always thought that would just muddy up the sim, but apparently not! I think you just ruined my Saturday ;-) -James

smaugthewyrm
gorgeous. thanks for the hip! - edited - tory belleci from mythbusters put a bunch of thier explosions to 'beastie boys'. at time code 1m35s the explosion would be perfect for this pyroclastic technique. http://vimeo.com/27508853 aside from that, the whole vid is just damn cool to watch from a vfx POS.
