TopNub
Hello. I do a little Research to create the lighting of the fire in room. The first thing I tried to do - it's written expression for the intensity of the source, but this result did not satisfy me, because it is too light strobe. inlight.hip I knew that expression - it's too complicated path and collected something like this in the CHOP. The result has been similar to the real lighting of the fire, but could not match the behavior of the pyro, it was not safe. inlight_02_chop.hip Then I took a burn field of pyro and scattering it to be using the TY position for all points which gave me at least some similarity with the fire. inlight_04_chop.hip Now I took the density and transfered v attribute of volume to point cloud. But the fact is also particularly did not work. inlight_05_chop.hip Does anyone have any ideas how this can be done? 3dbeing
You might look at Bake Volume, I haven't got this to work but I believe that this is it's intention...
bunker
If you convert you heat field into points, you can use this technique : http://ihoudini.blogspot.com/2009/08/particle-motion-blur-again-and-some.html Edited September 5, 2011 by bunker
