exarhos2003
thats what I meant to say thanks, that works. But, I could of thought that in earlier versions I was able to do this thru outputs. thanks, christopher
deecue
yea, there is a geometry renderer in your outputs.. whether or not you can do it in apprentice or not, im not sure.. check to see if 'geometry' is an op along with mantra, mental ray, and renderman.. i don't know all the formats that can be rendered out, but I have done both obj and bgeo through this method. The extra plus of doing this through the geo renderer is you can do frame ranges. so it saves out an obj/bgeo for every frame. then you can import that series back in to a file and your animation is right there in front of you. its a good way to instance an animated model to a partical system. hth, dave
exarhos2003
hey dave, I thought i remembered renderinga frame range of geometry files. apprentice does not have it. arrrg. I need animation to attach to particles. thanks, christopher
