ykcosmo Posted November 3, 2003 Share Posted November 3, 2003 Last time ,I post a topic on this site, that problem was I can't install houdini 6 for linux7.X on linux 8. but now, I installed red hat linux 7.3, and still had the same problem.when I finished installing houdini 6.0340. and then "source houdini_setup_bash", and then type "hkey", it appeared, but when I click on "file" and wanted to enter the lincense, hkey shutted down...... people said that was the linux 8.0's fault ,and ,houdini only run under linux 7.x, so I have linux 7.x installed, why I have the same problem?? and what should I do now?? tallkien Posted November 4, 2003 Share Posted November 4, 2003 The default redhat installation uses the "nv" driver if I'm not mistaken and it does not support OpenGL. mark Posted November 25, 2003 Share Posted November 25, 2003 if it helps, I can tell you Apprentice runs on mandrake 9.2 and gentoo with geforce2, it's XSI that will not run on newer (> RH7.2) distros.
