A. Morales
Is there any reason the second sop solver in this refuses to work, Im building mutiple different vel paths and bringing them dops via the sopsolver, but any sopsolver after the first refuses to work, nothing has changed except the op to read the second volume. any ideas? mutiple_solvers.hipnc
mangi
Hi Adad, Not exactly sure if this is what you are after. Actually it seems that it is working but, it is not picking up the gravity force. Inside the Dop Network , I have activated at the Gravity level. And the both sim will work. like I said , I am not exactly sure if this is what you mean. Cheers Mangi mutiple_solvers_fix.hipnc
A. Morales
thanks for the fast reply mangi, actually what im trying to have the second emitter is follow its custom velocity field ( like the one on the left ) if you play the sim that second field doesnt seem to be effecting the velocities of the second flip emitter. i had the gravity off to test if the volume field was working on the flip, it only seems to want to work on the first field ( the flip on the left)
Skybar
Hello! The problem isn't in the DOPnet, that all works fine. See how both of your SOP solvers always affect the left emitter? Regardless if you have both of them, or only one of them, connected? The problem is your "volume2" geo node, you translated that 7 units along X on obj level - but that isn't picked up. It still thinks your "volume2"-field is at 0, so you have two fields at the exact same position. To fix it, just dive into your "volume2" geo, and lay down a Transform SOP before the OUT_SOP null - and move it 7 units along X there instead. A. Morales
Hi! Skybar, thanks for that i completely forgot about the transform hierarchy , i can see the transform working for that volume, but i seem to still get the same problem where one of the volumes isnt affecting the flip, the first volume at 0,0 now has no affect on its flip sphere, is there a SOP solver priority im not fully understanding? Data sharing being overwritten? , it seems like one sop is taking priority over the other no matter the order. I can always work around buy just creating a single volume for all my paths but im trying to have them separate for control and efficieny. thanks! Skybar
Hmm not sure why, it works like it should for me. The left SOP solver affects the left sphere, and the right SOP solver the right sphere - both at the same time or only one of them. Try this scene, the only thing I changed was the translation of volume2. If it doesn't work I don't know what is going on. Maybe your Houdini version? I'm using the latest production build. mutiple_solvers_transFix.hipnc

A. Morales
Hey Mangi!, Thanks man! the culprit was putting the transform at the correct place, it wasnt a dop issue at all and just a matter of which level i was transforming my volume so the sop solver could pick it up correctly, that and i might have a buggy version of houdini! lol Thanks again for the help though
