Yes, it's the menus he's referring to.

Do this.

Pipe a tube a box and a sphere into a switch SOP.

Select these 4 SOPs and ctrl-rmb and select "collapse to subnet".

ctrl-rmb on the new subnet and select "create type from" and accept on the OTL dialogue.

right click on the new OTL and select "Type properties".

Go to the parameters page in the Type Properties.

Go inside the OTL network.

Drag the switch parameter from the switch SOP into the parameters box of the parameters tab of the OTL properties page.

Set it to integer, size 1, and range to 0 2.

Click the menu toggle at the bottom of the parameters tab in the type properties.

Create 3 tokens like this:

0 Tube

1 Box

2 Sphere

You should now have a nice dropdown menu with String labels that controls the switch inside the OTL.
