copernicusmuffin Posted April 9, 2014 Share Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) im trying to make my smoke turn the color of the grid once it it has passed through it. i was trying to mimic the color advection help file on a clean scene but when i tried remaking the scene it wont work unless i build over the original help file. im not sure what im missing or overlooking. ive tried matching things pretty close but still no luck. id appreciate it if someone could point me to the right direction. im sure its something really dumb. thanks in advance. At least: - the sop volume imports had their scales wrong, easiest to just toggle "use sop dimensions" on - your Cd volume was empty at the start and there was no sourcing for it, so you had nothing to advect - i think it's better to mask the newcd you add in the field sop with the density I added the mandril there for extra fun edit: added .mov Advect_Passthru_ee.hipnc coloradvect.mov Edited April 9, 2014 by eetu 1 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
