Sankar Kumar
Hi Guys, I started learning Houdini "cloth". What i want to achieve is my cloth should maintain a animated shape (Target over time) and maintaining cloth behavior. Here i attached my test file. I am migrating from maya to houdini in maya i will connect a rest shape to the selected ncloth. anim
use your bendy deformation as rest not target and set target stiffness and damping back to 0 this may be interesting for you http://ihoudini.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/worm-locomotion-with-fem.html Edited April 12, 2014 by anim

Aliencorpse
I would do this with bullet and spring constraints. Then have a soft RBD transformer so the edges stick together.
