But when I try $ACTIVATION in the point node the errors says no matching variable. I'm not sure what's wrong. Robert Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 The node where the local variable doesn't work is directly linked to the grid, no actual attribute creation happens in between there. lukeiamyourfather Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Think of the nodes as a stream of data that flows one direction like a river. The Point SOP was plugged into the Grid SOP before the Attribute Transfer SOP so it doesn't have the attributes created by that node. If you want access to that attribute then plug the input of the Point SOP to the output of the Attribute Transfer SOP. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
