Particle Meshing

Hi guys,


I am currently working on a rain system. I have got so far the rain hitting the ground, splitting etc and a simple dripping mechanism.

My current problem is that I am not sure how to turn these particles into polygon mesh. Right now all I have is a POPNET of the simulation.


My question is, what is the best method to turn these particles into 3d geometry?


Also is there a specific workflow for making rain particles look like rain? For example, how can I have just the rain particles that are falling down more cylindrical/liney like falling rain looks?
