cwalrus
Hi - i love the wet sand look and ability to adjust clumpiness, but that does not exist with the standard particle systems. I have a good particle animation with a standard POPnet and I want to add clumping to the particles now... is that possible? thanks! cameron

mestela
Dunno about your specific needs, but try adding a pop grains pop into your setup, set clumping weight and stiffness lowish. See the attached scene, toggle the popgrains node to see the effect. pop_clump.hip click to play Edited October 28, 2015 by mestela
cwalrus
Wow - but how did you get your render? When I open your scene file it appears as though you have only dropped a POP grains node into the chain, and nothing renders. In default 'wet sand' sims, there's usually a new source node for the popgrains that has grains source, wetsand, etc. Also in the PopNetwork there is a GrainSprite and GrainColor... what version are you using? thanks mate
Jason
Try POP Interact with a negative force?
mestela
The sprites, grain create etc are all useful, but not necessary if all you want are the basic pop grain forces. Its exposed as a force like other pop forces. I suspect Jason's setup might be more efficient though. I'm using H15.
