amin.khormaei
as you can see in the picture that i attached , i wanna emit the pyro with the red color i painted on the plane . i set the value to $CR and i'm gonna use this attribute for source volume node, but i can't find any attributes in source volume node to use the attribute create node, am i wrong to do this ? is there other ways to do this? please help me best regards amin khormaei
Atom
I think you need one more step. You need to emit particles from the area then you can use the shelf tool to create pyro from the particles. Search around for emit particles from image or something similar.
Farmfield
Atom's idea is one solution, but you can also set it up to emit from the mesh and do a delete based on color value - that would also work on an animated texture, like in this setup... tex.flames.v1.hip Edited February 6, 2016 by Farmfield

It's way easier than dealing with particles and just throws a bunch of points on your geo, can be based on attrib too!
