I'm having two issues though: 1. On render the volume is very transparent, and almost non-existent. Is there a way to beef this up? 2. Increase the density in your shader. You are using the default smoke shader, right? Or increase the density of your emission. Or increase the size of your emitter. Or use a remap for your dissipation and just have it blend off at the end. 2. Easiest way, if you can, is to scale up everything else. But it also depends on what is making it fast.
