lisux
Hi all. I want to render my Pz and velocity variables in tga and tiff files, to use them into Digital Fusion. Using Deep Rasters when you render to pic format is easy, but when i want to render the Pz variable to a tga or tiff file it isn't rendered. Any clues? Thanks
deecue
asfaik you can only render to pic with deep rasters. i think tiff and tga are only 4 channel formats (RGBA).. so you're best bet is to render your rgba to it and then render another sequence of Pz or whatever variable in seperate tiffs/tgas.. sibarrick
If you want seperate tiffs for each deep raster element you can do that but the main render also has to be a tif. If you render a pic and try to output the deep raster elements as tif they just get embedded in the pic anyway.
lisux
Thanks, i'm getting the next error exporting a float variable: Invalid variable type ... specified. In the three dots a i get the incomplete path to my project directory. In the Deep Rasters i have put the name of my variable and Float Type, the name of the file, a tga image, and Floating Point for the channels precission, i check the filter and blending option. I'm making any error? Thanks
edward
The tga file format doesn't the "float" type. Try outputting to a .tiff file instead.
