Ocelote
Hi everyone! I’m working on a text dissolve effect. A phrase actually… My problem is that no matter how much I decrease the Smoke Solver Division Size, even when I get a finer simulation my initial voxelization of the words is quite nasty… Is there a way to solve this? Thanks a lot in advance! Here’s some previews and the .hip file: Text Dissolve.mov text dissolve.hiplc
Atom
Try turning off Use Noise inside the pyro_source on the create_density_volume node. This gives the text a cleaner initial appearance.
fencer
I think it will be too expensive... text_dissolve_v002.hiplc

I was looking for that but couldn't find it...It does look better, but my A is still looking like a stairway 48 minutes ago, fencer said: I think it will be too expensive... text_dissolve_v002.hiplc Thanks for your answer fencer, maybe I'll try to break the phrase into words and compose the different simulations after. I thought this was going to be easy, and once again I was wrong....
BRZ32
Those look like play blasts. Depending on how large those letters are, your resolution may be getting clamped by your viewport display resolution limit of 256 x 256 x 256. first lower your resolution from 0.01 to like 0.1 so you don't crash but then Hit D in your viewport, under the texture tab uncheck that limit on texture resolution. Then from there slowly up your resolution and see if the changes are more apparent. Edited July 1, 2016 by BRZ32

BRZ32
No problem dude, always a first time for running into that kind of thing. Be careful with unchecking that limit though. If you accidentally change your sim res to something like .001 its going to lock up your machine real quick haha.
