Cloth stitch Constraint - SOFT

Recommended Posts

Any idea why I can make these constraints to work? Even if I increase the stiffness in the node nothing changes, When I change it to hard, it works, but soft one does not do anything. This is just a test scene and here is my setup. Am I doing anything wrong? can I use soft constraint on the same Cloth object?

Thank you

Janis

It's a bug or unimplemented feature - please send the bug report into SideFx. Thanks!

Ok I will.

Also I was playing around with cloth and all the settings. And I couldn`t make overall stiffness (relative stiffness as well) different by grouping elements and applying new attribute values with attribute create. I tried point attribute and primitive attribute, both didn\t do anything. Took a while to find out that for Surface mass density I need to apply attribute to primitives not points. Would be useful to paint stiffness on cloth, is it possible? Hope I explained well what I meant.

I will attach screenshots when I have applied different surface mass density to half ot the grid. Would be cool if I could do the same with stiffness :)

Thank you,

It'll work, try setting shellstretchstiffness primitive attribute.

The help file under, http://127.0.0.1:48626/nodes/dop/clothobject, User Control Attributes, has all the attributes to use.
